“Desert Boxes” By Mickey Ross ………. Its such a pleasure to introduce this project as it’s not only a bloody good cause, it is a bloody CRAZY good opportunity to snap up affordable photographic art from some of our regions best! A Bit More Soul began as a series of photographic retreats and over the years has come to represent a community of photographers, artists, poets and creative forces all bonded by their time spent together and being dedicated to nurturing, improving and mastering their passion. I was lucky enough to attend

I know it wasn’t long ago that I introduced the work of Christchurch photographer Stacey Weaver, and that if you follow me on my personal instagram my OWN Just South West print pops up a bit….but its because I really truly love to gaze at this work!! Just South West offers prints that approach decent size ( I love BIG!) and make for bold pieces of art. Stacey’s latest additions continue with her interest in capturing that invisible line tread by flowers as they disappear toward a slow but beautiful decay.

Our local footwear architect is back with another new season of finely crafted, deftly designed shoes that won’t be like anyone elses! Katie Revie continues to build her empire, now from her flagship store on Auckland’s Ponsonby Road, by issuing refreshingly new collections that still carry her distinct style. ‘Gusto’ channels strong geometry accentuated with the use of strong blog colour and texture. And not to be forgotten are the divine hand carved timber heels that have become iconic to the REVIE style! Click on through and scroll on down.

The creative mastermind and painterly hand behind all this is Jen Sievers, an exciting kiwi abstract artist who has well and truly captured our attention for the last year or so! In her own words; Jen describes her project: “Best Wishes is a range of mini artworks, each painted with strong and

I’m really excited to share this brilliant new local brand as I think it will music to the ears of MANY of you with sensitive skin…..but still bound by your duty to CLEAN! Real World is the result of some real world problems for a real world Mum! Hawkes Bay based Nicola Mossman had reached the end of her tether when it came to her dry, sensitive hands suffering from the daily dunking in hot soapy water when cooking/cleaning for a family of six. On speaking to friends and comparing the deep cracks

It’s really refreshing to introduce you to a New Zealand artist that hasn’t been long on my own radar. The work of Wellington based Niels Meyer – Westfeld reminds me a lot of those amazing botanical encyclopedias that people used to store in their volumes! They examined creatures and nature from the world over and very often depicted them in motion or their natural habitat. And after learning more about Niels, its kind of no wonder! “My father is a passionate lepidopterist and botanist and growing up in Germany, I was

Our island child; La Luna Rose is well known for her sparky, vibrant beaded jewellery – but those with a leaning for the tropics should brace themselves for the new “Las Palmas” collection! Based around a series of sunshine evoking charms (think shells, palms, fruit and more!), “Las Palmas”  presents them in silver, gold and rose gold finishes across delicate chain bracelets, necklaces, studs and rings.  They are a sweet but precious gift to give or add to your own collection. Keep it up La Luna Rose! Imagery supplied by

Once again the challenge to communicate divine, hand blended fragrance via the internet is WON by George + Edi and their collaborators Greta Kenyon and Lu Diamond Flowers. I only recently introduced you to the offering of fragranced room sprays, candles and reed diffusers from Wanaka based George + Edi … but it’s safe to say they most definitely have me on their band wagon now! CEDRUS is their newly released,  limited edition fragrance for the festive season which can be found in the form of a candle and room spray, both
