So this is something new!
Over the next three weeks I’ll be sharing 3 little projects that the clever Lu Diamond and I joined forces on in partnership with Farmers to celebrate their fresh new seasons collection (which to be honest…reallllly impressed me!) You will spot some of our favourite Farmers products in each shoot all of which were the basis of inspiration for each of our floral creations.
As a SERIAL “forager” (some may refer to this as foliage poaching) I wanted to create some posts around the ease at which you can use easy-to-access foliage and flowers in your own home.
To kick off Lucy and I struck out onto the streets of Ponsonby to see what we could find to build a sweet little posie to use as a table setting. Rather than writing you a recipe of “this plant and that tree”, instead we wanted to inspire you with what is possible using the vegetation that you have on your own street!
You will be SO surprised at how those seemingly boring trees/plants/buds/seed heads/ferns/grasses/weeds look when layered and bound simply with rough twine!
Enjoy! (next week we are using flowers bought from the local dairy to create an awesome posie for beside your bed!)Photography by Julia Atkinson for Studio Home

All ideas and opinions shared are most definitely my own.
