In a follow up to my interview with Raglan based WRW + Co. last week and the next terrific local maker I will share in early January, I wanted to give you an easy to consume peek into what I saw of that special coastal town.
For those of you that haven’t been, Raglan is set at the end of its own road. You don’t pass through this place, you make a firm decision to visit it. There is a nostalgic, rural kiwi vibe to the small town which mostly sprawls easily around the edge of tidal harbour. With a distinctive laid back atmosphere, locals mix easily with the many travellers that flock to the area for its natural beauty and world class surf. There were great little stores, food places and the Raglan Roast had a line of both bare foot visitors and professionals on their coffee break hanging out in the sun. A short and winding drive out to the wild west coast revealed amazing views and the three world class surf breaks.
The pics speak for themselves and I have and will be continuing to blow my trumpet hard about one of my new favourite kiwi destinations.
