Last Monday I flew back to Auckland after two weeks on the road interviewing, exploring, consulting and driving from Queenstown through to Wellington. This of course didn’t happen in a straight line and today I wanted to share some snaps I caught on the first part of my solo roady.   After chatting with the team at Jucy about my plans, I was excited to pick up a new addition to their fleet of cars and vans in Queenstown – the Styla (or as I like to call it; “the grunty

Owner Rae Ellis stands at the lakeside entrance of Vudu – not pictured are owner’s Michelle Freeman and Chris Vile ……. Vudu Cafe + Larder has rapidly become one of Queenstown’s most popular coffee and food spots… for good reason. The locals are loyal followers of the fresh and delicious daily offerings while it doesn’t take long for visitors to be drawn in the doors by the cool industrial vintage interior and general great buzz! Store owner and designer Natalie Newlands, 31, can rock a seriously snappy red lip and looks right at home surrounded by some of the regions best offerings in fashion at Queenstown store; Angel Divine. In February 2012 she purchased the business from great friend Emma Taylor – who had steered the popular shop for the 6 years previous but had to focus on her battle with leukemia which very sadly claimed her life. Natalie has continued the store’s legacy of supporting NZ emerging and established fashion talent and has now grown

Queenstown artist; Laura Shallcrass has just wrapped up a beautiful exhibition at Toi o Tahuna. This tine she extended past her intricicate signature line work to include paintings on ply and paper cut pieces. You can check it all out including what it available to purchase at her website and Aucklanders keep an eye out for some of it showing at The Poi Room.

I have admired the beautiful Lonely lingerie from a safe distance for a while now. Its not that I don’t think its amazing – because I absolutely do….its just that those fine little garments were never really going to be “supportive” enough for me if you get my drift… Until NOW! They have just released a new range that includes underwire! Hallelujah! I’ve just been busy browsing some of them on the brand new online store of Queenstown based, Angel Divine.  Treat time maybe!

Annika Dawkins is one sparky soul. And a damn creative one at that! Having initially met her years ago in Queenstown, I have recently been working with her closely on a number of projects following the set up of her one stop shop creative agency; Ha Ha Media. Despite our many skype meetings, with me peering over her shoulder trying snoop at her space I got more than I bargained for when she finally let me check out the images here.  Shantanu Starick of The Pixel Trade passed through her neighbourhood earlier in
